CCRGV Counseling Program

The mission of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley is to help improve the quality of life in the community we live in by providing help and creating hope to individuals and families experiencing an emergency crisis in their lives. Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley and all catholic charities through the US are committed to help end poverty in America by addressing and responding to the core issues of poverty and in a more direct way offering services that help families achieve self-sufficiency and independence. CRGV anticipates enhancing the emergency assistance program placing a stronger emphasis on stabilization and self sufficiency individuals seeking emergency assistance.

Counseling Goals

Provides short term counseling services to:

individuals
couples
families in need of counseling
Counseling is also provided to cases referred by Tribunal department.

Services

- Confidential counseling and/ or mentoring
non-judgmental atmosphere of understanding and support
- Couples/ Marriage counseling
- Family counseling
- Parenting skills
- Depression and anxiety
referrals to other community agencies and medical resources
- Post Traumatic Stress Therapy
- Grief and loss therapy
assistance with education and career decisions
