WE BELIEVE

We must always be prepared to serve with flexibility the changing circumstances afflicting the immigrant, the poor and those most forgotten.

We must act practically and effectively on behalf of the vulnerable, finding ways to affirm that in those who sojourn with great difficulty, we encounter the face of Christ himself.

We should provide spaces of welcome and support to help the most vulnerable regain hope and dignity for their difficult journeys ahead.

The center should provide support for refugees and volunteers alike, educating and raising awareness of the ongoing issues with the immigrant community.

The work should be carried out daily, to welcome, and provide opportunities for the refugees to refresh, to be nourished, to rest, to play, to heal; in cooperation with the community, local civil authorities and law enforcement.

We believe in the generosity of the people of the Valley and beyond, Catholics and non-Catholics, as a continuing sign that affirms human dignity and compassion. The Center should reflect the expression of communion and community.
